Job Description:
The Project Scheduler will be responsible for schedule compliance and interface with teams on technology & low voltage scopes of work, including internal and external employees, vendors, and subcontractors to be included in the schedules and updates.
This position is expected to be a subject matter expert, who, through the demonstration of strong leadership, communication and management skills effectively helps manage the overall technology schedule for the project.
Key Responsibilities - Core:
- This position performs overall scheduling, overall progress control and monitoring.
- Manages Progress Measurement System control through control schedule programs such as primavera or MS Project based on CPM(Critical Path Method).
- Schedule planning, controlling and analyzing (PRIMAVERA)
- Plans and follow-ups Baseline Schedule, Updated schedule, Revised Schedule, As-built Schedule
- Meeting coordination (with client/ internal parties/subcontractors), and report
- Construction Sequence Review and Control
- Progress Report (Weekly/Monthly) Review and Submit
- Schedule Delay Analysis and Review for EOT(Extension of Time) Claim
- Assist in developing the schedule for all the different scopes for submittals, shop drawings, BIM dates, addition of scope, and mockups / training with the PM team.
- Track and report progress on the achievement of project milestone(s) with team members for updates to schedule and progress payments
- Communicate, track and resolve issues in an effective and prompt manner throughout the life of the project.
- Ensure that all project documents are properly managed and archived upon project completion.
Key Responsibilities – Additional Core:
In addition, this position will be responsible for the following:
- Assistance in management of the technology consulting process between client/owner’s consultants and contractors.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
Knowledge, Skill & Abilities:
- At least 5 years of scheduling experience in large infrastructure/ construction projects
- Proven knowledge regarding construction process (PERT/CPM/EVMS/DCMA14)
- Proficiency in P6 (Primavera), MS Office tools
- Excellent presentation & communication skills
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and mixed culture with quality deliverables, managing multiple projects at the same time
- Thorough knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a project
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally
- Ability to manage budgets, maximize profitability and generate future work through building relationships
- General knowledge of telecommunication infrastructure and networking, including but not limited to fiber, copper, LAN/WAN, wireless, and telephony.
- Additional knowledge of Low Voltage hospital equipment is a plus – nursecall, overhead paging, access control, CCTV, and PS DAS systems.
