Project Coordinator

Our Project Coordinator plays a key role in supporting a portfolio of digital enablement and technology initiatives within a forward-thinking financial services organization. This entry-level position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and excited to build a career in project management.

In this role, you will partner closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to help keep projects organized, on track, and moving forward. From coordinating meetings and maintaining project documentation to tracking deliverables and supporting project planning activities, you will help drive consistency and execution across multiple initiatives.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to project management within a collaborative Project Management Office (PMO) environment while working alongside leaders across the organization. The Project Coordinator reports directly to the SVP of Project Management and serves as an important foundational member of the team.

What You'll Do

  • Support Project Managers across multiple concurrent projects and initiatives
  • Organize, maintain, and track project documentation, timelines, and deliverables
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, project updates, and follow-up activities
  • Maintain centralized project repositories and support consistent project standards
  • Assist with project planning activities and status reporting
  • Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Help ensure projects remain organized, accurate, and aligned with established processes
  • Support PMO operations and continuous improvement initiatives

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, business analysis, or related project support roles
  • Aspiration to pursue Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and develop a career in project management
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or service-based industries preferred but not required
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to track complex information across multiple workstreams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Self-motivated learner with curiosity about project management methodologies and best practices
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis), PowerPoint (professional presentations), and Word (formal documentation)
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Planner, Smartsheet, or similar project planning tools highly desirable
  • Experience with SharePoint for document management and team collaboration sites a plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams for collaboration and meeting facilitation
  • Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of collaborative teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
