PROJECT BASIS FURNITURE SECTION DESIGNER, INSTALL LEAD

Responsibilities:
Full-time Project-Basis position with up to 50% travel. The typical work week when traveling is 2-3 days, Monday thru Friday: Hours at the office are flexible and project based. Remote based. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS in Interior Design or have experience in Model Home Merchandising. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Requirements:

• Produce comprehensive designs and furniture procurement for model home projects
• Install model home décor for accessories and bedding, instruct installers on art and furniture placement per plan, problem solve on site for issues that arise
• Experience in a design firm with furniture focus is a plus
• Knowledge of color schemes and trends
• Job specific knowledge on furniture sizing and scale
• Creativity, imagination, originality
• Multi-task and service oriented
• Work effectively and successfully with a team; demonstrates a sense of urgency
• The ability to self-manage and take instruction from design management
• Manage projects within given deadlines and stay on target with budgets for merchandise purchasing
• Use creative solutions in the installation of model home interior decor; decide appropriate placement of accessories and furniture, art, direct contract labor, travel to job site (including in and out of Austin, mainly Texas) for time required.
• Proficient computer skills: AutoCAD Lite, Microsoft Office experience a must, Powerpoint required
• Must have 7 years work experience
• Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
