Project Director
Locations: Multiple U.S. Locations
Compensation: $230,000 - $285,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits Package
Our client, a global leader in the design, engineering, and construction of high-tech and mission-critical facilities, is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of large-scale capital projects across North America.
This role will support projects within either the Advanced Technology Facilities (Semiconductor) sector or the Data Center sector, depending on the successful candidate's background and expertise. The Project Director will provide executive leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, from early planning and design through construction, commissioning, and client handover.
Managing projects ranging from hundreds of millions to several billion dollars in value, this position offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering some of the most significant developments currently underway in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for large-scale semiconductor or data center projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Lead and develop project teams including Project Managers, Project Engineering Managers, Package Owners, Project Engineers, Construction Managers, and Project Controls personnel.
- Establish project execution strategies and delivery plans to achieve client objectives and business goals.
- Maintain overall responsibility for project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, risk mitigation, and profitability.
- Serve as the primary client-facing leader and executive point of contact throughout project execution.
- Drive project schedules and ensure key milestones are achieved safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
- Identify and manage project risks while implementing effective mitigation strategies.
- Provide oversight of commercial management, procurement strategy, contract administration, and change management activities.
- Champion a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Support strategic growth initiatives, business development activities, and client relationship management efforts.
- Mentor and develop future project leaders across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
- 15+ years of experience delivering large-scale engineering, construction, or EPC projects.
- Demonstrated experience leading projects valued from $250M to multi-billion-dollar scale.
- Proven success delivering projects within semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, mission-critical, industrial, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or data center environments.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing project budgets, contracts, forecasting, and risk.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning functions.
Preferred ExperienceSemiconductor / Advanced Technology Facilities
- Semiconductor fabrication facilities, advanced packaging facilities, cleanrooms, or high-tech manufacturing environments.
- Experience supporting major semiconductor clients and complex process-driven projects.
Data Centers
- Hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, or mission-critical data center construction projects.
- Experience delivering large-scale MEP-intensive facilities and critical infrastructure projects.
