We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Educated Project Director to oversee all contracting projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale Hospital, High rise buildings construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Requirements:
- Engineering Graduate in Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in managing MEP contracting projects, with a strong focus on construction and infrastructure.
- Experience working on healthcare & Education industry projects is a must.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and contract management.
- Experience with the capital budget development process.
- Experience using Computer Aided Design and Drafting Systems (CADD) to generate project drawings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of contracting projects from conception to completion.
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective measures to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project status.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits, and reports.
- Lead project teams, providing guidance and direction to ensure optimal performance.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Investigating building system deficiencies and failures and developing solutions.
- Developing and implementing the department’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, with an emphasis on healthcare facilities (i.e., hospitals, facilities,)
- Experience managing engineering and construction projects by performing duties that include developing the scope, schedule, and budget of projects.
- Experience troubleshooting building system issues and providing technical assistance to maintenance staff.
