Marafeq Trading & Services is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Project Director (Oil & Gas EPC) to lead major engineering, procurement, and construction projects within the oil and gas sector in Muscat, Oman. The successful candidate will oversee the complete project lifecycle, ensuring successful execution of EPC projects while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, cost control, and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities include directing project planning and execution, managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams, overseeing project budgets and schedules, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations. The Project Director will coordinate closely with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal departments to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while meeting technical and operational requirements.

The role also involves risk management, contract administration, resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and continuous monitoring of project performance. The successful candidate will provide leadership in resolving technical and operational challenges while driving project excellence and maintaining strong client relationships.

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline, with extensive experience managing large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects. Strong knowledge of engineering standards, construction management, procurement processes, and HSE regulations is essential. Professional certifications such as PMP or equivalent are highly desirable.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional leadership, strategic planning, negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage complex projects in fast-paced and demanding environments.
