We are seeking a
Project Engineer
with project management/engineering experience in the oil and gas or related operating environments and a proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain the protection of the environment and the health and safety of employees, customers, and the community. Participate in HSE reviews, site observations, permit audits, and housekeeping inspections during field execution.

Manage projects including routine updating and forecasting, cost control, schedule adherence, change management, documentation, and closeout activities.

Define and develop project scope, goals, and deliverables to support staged gate project management.

Develop project cost and schedule estimates based on vendor information and market conditions; prepare funding requests.

Determine applicable industry specifications, policies, and procedures in collaboration with discipline leads; ensure compliance with regulatory standards (DOT, PHMSA, FERC, etc.).

Assemble bid packages, coordinate procurement evaluations, reviews, and awards.

Communicate with vendors to specify, obtain quotes, and follow up on equipment and services.

Plan and oversee contractors, costs, progress, and scope of work.

Assist and coordinate drawing/document reviews, RFIs, change proposal requests, and change orders.

Coordinate interfaces between contractors and internal functions, including scheduling site activities for maintenance projects.

Support work permit issuance, commissioning, and startup activities.

Develop project documentation to support mechanical completion, commissioning, and startup.

Ensure modifications are accurately documented, incorporated, and released in a timely manner.
Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology; 10+ years of industry experience (or 15+ years in industry).

Project engineering/management experience on small capital and expense projects at operating facilities or pipelines.

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, P&IDs, flow diagrams, and fabrication drawings.

Mechanical/piping and instrumentation & controls experience preferred.

Experience with natural gas distribution, transmission, custody transfer meter stations, regulator stations, and gas storage facilities preferred.

Knowledge of industry codes and standards (ANSI B31.3, ASME Section VIII, ASTM, API, IEC, NACE, NEC, NFPA).

Experience with B31.8 pipelines and DOT/PHMSA/FERC regulations a plus.

Field commissioning and startup planning/execution experience preferred.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of petrochemical industry safety practices and permit-to-work procedures.

Strong project management skills, including cost estimating, scheduling, equipment specification, and procurement.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
