Project Engineer

Required skills and qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
• PMP Certification (not mandatory)
• 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, project engineering, or project planning (scope, schedule, cost, quality) in Service Projects.
• Experience in field management
• Advanced knowledge in MS Office
• Strong working knowledge of software such as MS Projects, Primavera and AutoCAD
• Understanding of compliance and quality assurance guidelines and best practices
• Familiarity with processes for engineering change request (ECR) and engineering change order (ECO)

Job Description

• Delivering a clearly defined and complete package including detailed project Scope of Work, estimate, schedule, CTRs and other supporting documentation as required for successful kickoff of the project.
• Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations, and promote a safe work environment for crews on site.
• Monitors progress and facilitates timely completion of each project phase and project delivery to agreed schedule dates
• Implements plans, identifies obstacles, and develops strategies to improve operations
• Continually reviews technical reports and drawings to ensure project alignment
• Ensures a safe working environment and enforces standard operating procedures
• Prepares progress reports and presentations
• Creates all necessary documentation related to the assigned project.
• Ensuring that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule.
• Base line schedule preparation with operations & site team.
• Developing and maintaining project documentation including QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) standards.
• Directing work site labour, delivery of materials and equipment and establishing detailed plans for coordination of site activities.
• Change Management – Ensure any potential changes and variations are managed in a timely manner with the clients approval and to the approved process.
• Risk Management – all associated risk are to be identified, assessed and registered with appropriate mitigation measures identified.
• Work on different service projects at the same time.
• Prepare Project close out documentation and obtain all the necessary approvals from the client.
