Job Title: Project Engineer – High-Rise Building Project

Job Summary

The Project Engineer will support the Project Manager in the execution of a high-rise building project by coordinating engineering, construction, and subcontractor activities. The role ensures technical compliance, proper documentation, timely execution of works, and coordination between site teams, consultants, and authorities in accordance with Dubai regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Coordination & Execution

• Supervise daily site activities related to structural and finishing works.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Monitor progress and report to Project Manager.
• Ensure proper sequencing of works in high-rise construction (core walls, PT slabs, façade, MEP coordination).

2. Technical & Engineering Support

• Review shop drawings and technical submittals before submission.
• Coordinate RFIs (Requests for Information) with consultants.
• Assist in resolving site technical issues.
• Ensure integration between structural, architectural, and MEP works.

3. Quality Control

• Ensure works are executed according to project specifications and approved drawings.
• Coordinate inspections with consultant and QA/QC team.
• Monitor compliance with method statements and ITPs (Inspection Test Plans).
• Ensure proper documentation of inspection records.

4. Authority & Consultant Coordination

• Assist in arranging inspections and approvals with authorities such as:
• Dubai Municipality
• Dubai Civil Defence
• DEWA
• Coordinate consultant inspections and close comments promptly.

5. Planning & Reporting

• Support the Planning Engineer with progress updates.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Monitor material deliveries and site requirements.
• Identify potential delays and escalate to management.

6. Safety Compliance

• Ensure safe execution of works on site.
• Coordinate with HSE team to maintain safety standards.
• Enforce compliance with UAE safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• UAE Driving License preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5–8 years of construction experience.
• At least 3–5 years experience in high-rise building projects.
• Minimum 2–3 years UAE experience preferred.
• Experience in structural works (RC core, PT slabs) and finishing coordination is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• MS Office
• Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 (advantage)
• Understanding of shop drawings, method statements, and BOQ.
• Knowledge of Dubai building regulations and inspection processes.

Soft Skills

• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage subcontractors effectively.
• Problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced site environment.
