Project Engineer

The Role

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing building construction activities. • Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility. • Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers. • Monitor daily site activities and ensure work is performed according to approved drawings and specifications. • Prepare and track project schedules, progress reports, and work programs. • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and local authority requirements. • Manage material submissions, technical approvals, and shop drawings. • Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues during construction. • Monitor project costs and assist with budgeting and cost control. • Ensure quality control procedures are followed and maintain proper documentation. • Support preparation of project reports, RFIs, method statements, and technical documentation. • Coordinate inspections and approvals with consultants and authorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. • 7–10 years of experience in building construction projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments). • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications. • Good knowledge of quality control and site safety standards. • Strong communication and coordination skills. • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines. • Experience working on high-rise or large-scale building projects. • Knowledge of local building regulations and authority approvals.
