Job Title: Project Engineer – Aluminum and Façade
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership:
- Lead the design and engineering processes for aluminum and façade projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct feasibility studies, including site assessments and material selection, to support project planning and execution.
- Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and submittals related to aluminum and façade systems.
- Project Execution:
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Identify and mitigate engineering-related risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Team Collaboration:
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and project coordinators, providing guidance on technical issues and project management best practices.
- Facilitate communication between project stakeholders, including clients, architects, and subcontractors, to ensure alignment and address concerns promptly.
- Lead project meetings to discuss progress, technical challenges, and solutions.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that all engineering work complies with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Implement quality control processes and inspections to guarantee the integrity of materials and workmanship.
- Conduct site visits to monitor installation processes and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including design calculations, specifications, and reports.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting project progress and challenges.
- Collaborate with project managers in preparing project status reports for senior management.
Requirements:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of engineering experience in the aluminum, façade, or construction industry, with a strong focus on project execution.
- Skills:
- Proficient in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong understanding of façade systems, aluminum curtain walls, and glazing technologies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
