Project Engineer (Bridge Maintenance)

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in bridge construction or bridge maintenance projects in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be a Civil Engineering graduate with strong technical and site management capabilities, responsible for overseeing project execution, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that bridge works are delivered safely, on time, and in compliance with project specifications and authority requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Manage and supervise bridge construction and maintenance activities in accordance with project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
2) Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure smooth project execution.
3) Review and interpret design drawings, method statements, and technical specifications related to bridge works.
4) Monitor project progress, prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, and highlight potential risks or delays.
5) Ensure compliance with local authority regulations (RTA, DM, or other relevant authorities) and project contractual requirements.
6) Supervise site engineers and technical staff, providing guidance on construction methods and technical challenges.
7) Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards on site.
8) Coordinate inspections, testing, and approvals with consultants and authorities.
9) Assist in resource planning, material procurement, and cost control for bridge works.
10) Support the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and execution of bridge construction or rehabilitation works.

Requirements:

1) Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
2) Minimum 10 years of experience in bridge construction, rehabilitation, or maintenance projects in the UAE.
3) Strong knowledge of bridge construction techniques, structural components, and maintenance methodologies.
4) Familiarity with UAE authority standards and infrastructure project requirements.
5) Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
