Site Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

The Site Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supervising and executing mechanical works on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and safety standards. The ideal candidate must have strong site experience within MEP contracting in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day mechanical site activities (HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, firefighting).
• Ensure works are executed as per approved shop drawings and project specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors.
• Monitor manpower, materials, and site progress.
• Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
• Conduct inspections and ensure quality control standards are maintained.
• Assist in material submittals and method statements preparation.
• Support testing & commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi Municipality and Civil Defense requirements.
• Follow and enforce HSE policies on-site.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–6 years of UAE experience in MEP contracting.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is an advantage).
• Good communication and coordination skills.
