Project engineer (Civil )

Job Summary:
We are hiring a Project Engineer who has a strong background in the Civil Construction field from the UAE. Experience must be with construction projects dealing with the commercial sector such as Shopping Malls, Branded Outlets, Office Buildings, High-Rise Buildings, and Low-Rise Business/Commercial Towers —and NOT Villas or Residential Houses. The ideal candidate must be proficient in working independently and capable enough to be a Leader soon.

What We Are Looking For in a Candidate for this Role:

• Experience: 5–10 years of total experience, with a minimum of 5 years in the UAE.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Type of Construction: Must have prior experience working on High-Rise Commercial Projects (G+15 to G+40), Shopping Malls, Office Complexes, or Mixed-Use Developments.
• Software Proficiency (Role-Specific):
• AutoCAD (for drawing reviews and markups)
• MS Project or Primavera P6 (for progress monitoring and schedule tracking)
• Advanced MS Excel (for quantity take-offs, material reconciliation, and budget tracking)
• Additional Skills: Strong leadership, decision-making, stakeholder management, and knowledge of UAE authority approval processes (Dubai Municipality, DDA, DEWA, Civil Defense).

Key Responsibilities:

· Review structural, architectural, and MEP drawings and raise RFIs for discrepancies.

· Prepare and submit shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and risk assessments.

· Coordinate with government authorities for NOCs, permits, and completion certificates.

· Monitor site progress against the baseline schedule and coordinate with Planning Engineer.

· Manage subcontractor performance (scope, progress, variations, payment certification).

· Conduct regular site inspections and document non-conformances.

· Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports with photographic evidence.

· Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and quality standards.

· Facilitate coordination meetings with all stakeholders.

· Manage handing-over process (snagging, de-snagging, as-built documentation).

Pay: From AED9,000.00 per month
