Job Summary
The Project Engineer (Electrical, Mechanical & ELV) is responsible for coordinating and delivering multi-disciplinary MEP and ELV project works, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards. This role will oversee site execution, coordination with consultants/clients/subcontractors, material approvals, inspections, testing & commissioning support, and documentation for Electrical, Mechanical, and ELV systems.
Key Responsibilities
1) Project Execution & Site Coordination

Support the Project Manager in planning, executing, and closing out MEP/ELV works across multiple sites/projects.

Monitor daily site activities and ensure work is completed as per approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams for smooth delivery of Electrical, Mechanical, and ELV works.
-
Ensure manpower, tools, materials, and access requirements are available to meet project milestones.
2) Electrical Works (LV Systems)

Manage and supervise installation of electrical systems including LV panels, DBs, cabling, containment, lighting, small power, earthing, and related works.

Ensure compliance with authority standards and approved design requirements.
3) Mechanical Works (HVAC & Plumbing / Firefighting where applicable)

Coordinate installation works for HVAC systems (ducting, piping, FCUs/AHUs, chilled water/VRF as applicable).

Monitor mechanical installations such as drainage, water supply, pumps, valves, insulation, and supports.

Support inspection coordination for mechanical testing requirements.
4) ELV / Low Current Systems

Coordinate installation and integration of ELV systems such as:

Structured Cabling / Data Network
-
CCTV
-
Access Control
-
PA/BGM Systems
-
SMATV / IPTV
-
Intercom
-
Parking Management (if applicable)
-
Gate Barriers (if applicable)
-
Fire Alarm interface coordination (where required)

Ensure system installation complies with vendor requirements, approved layouts, and client specifications.
5) Drawings, Submittals & Approvals
-
Prepare and/or review technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and material approvals.

Coordinate with consultants for approvals, clarifications, and compliance with project requirements.

Manage RFIs and technical correspondence and ensure timely responses and resolution.
6) Quality, Testing & Commissioning
-
Conduct inspections and ensure quality control checks for installed works.

Support testing, commissioning, and functional checks for MEP and ELV systems.
-
Coordinate SAT/FAT and integration tests with vendors and commissioning teams as required.

Ensure snag rectification and closure within agreed timelines.
7) Project Documentation & Reporting

Maintain accurate project records including daily reports, progress updates, inspection requests, material deliveries, and as-built information.

Support preparation of handover documents such as O&M manuals, as-built drawings, warranties, test results, and training records.

Assist in preparing weekly/monthly progress reports for internal and client reporting.
8) Safety & Compliance
-
Ensure all works comply with HSE standards, approved method statements, and risk assessments.

Promote safe working practices and immediately report hazards, incidents, or unsafe acts.

Ensure proper permit compliance (work permits, PTW, LOTO where applicable).
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in
Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
.

3–8 years
of experience (adjust as per your requirement) in handling
Electrical + Mechanical + ELV
projects in building/construction environments.

Strong understanding of MEP and ELV installation practices, coordination, and site supervision.

Knowledge of testing & commissioning processes and handover documentation.
Skills & Competencies

Strong project coordination and communication skills

Ability to manage multiple disciplines and priorities

Good understanding of drawings, specifications, and shop drawing coordination

Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

AutoCAD / basic drawing review capability is preferred

Ability to coordinate with consultants, clients, vendors, and subcontractors

Strong problem-solving and site decision-making skills
