Project Engineer - High Rise Buildings

Job Description

Lead and manage all civil, structural, and architectural works for high-rise building projects, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Coordinate effectively between consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve seamless project execution.
Supervise and monitor site activities, ensuring timely completion of work as per approved drawings and schedule requirements.
Review and approve construction drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals in coordination with design and QA/QC teams.
Prepare comprehensive project progress reports, highlighting milestones, challenges, and recommended solutions.
Monitor project timelines and budgets, proactively addressing delays or cost variances.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality assurance and adherence to local authority standards and international codes.
Promote and enforce Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures, fostering a safe working culture on-site.
Provide mentorship and technical support to project engineers, supervisors, and foremen to maintain consistent performance across teams.
Collaborate with planning and procurement teams to track resources, verify subcontractor works, and support payment certifications.
Maintain accurate project records, including RFIs, variation orders, inspection reports, and as-built documentation.
Represent the company in client and consultant meetings, presenting technical solutions and project progress updates.
Contribute to process optimization and value engineering initiatives to enhance construction efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in building construction, including at least 4–5 years in high-rise or large-scale projects.
  • Strong understanding of structural systems, post-tensioning, MEP coordination, and finishing works for high-rise buildings.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • In-depth knowledge of QA/QC practices, local authority regulations, and international building codes.
  • Proven leadership, coordination, and communication skills with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities under pressure.
  • GCC experience and a valid driving license are highly desirable.
