Project engineer - HV

Job Responsibilities:Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of high voltage (HV) electrical works, including substation installations, switchgear, transformers, and cabling.

Review technical drawings, specifications, and scope of work for HV systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, SEWA).Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal teams for timely execution and resolution of technical issues.

Supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of HV equipment and ensure proper integration with overall electrical systems.

Prepare and track project schedules, material submittals, RFIs, and progress reports specific to HV works.Ensure timely procurement and delivery of HV equipment as per approved material schedules and specifications.

Manage subcontractors and ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to approved procedures and standards.

Liaise with local utility authorities for inspection, approvals, and energization of HV systems.

Support the preparation of as-built drawings, operation & maintenance manuals, and project close-out documentation.

Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards during all stages of HV work.

Qualifications Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.

6& 10 years of relevant experience in HV projects, preferably in the UAE or GCC region.

Strong knowledge of HV equipment (e.g., GIS, MV/LV Switchgear, Transformers, RMUs).
