Project Engineer - HVAC

The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, scheduled and emergency service on Precision cooling products (Chillers, CRAC units). The engineer is required to establish, promote and maintain excellent relation with all customers, co-workers, sales representatives and others as appropriate.

Job Description:

1. Estimates, prepares, and assigns the resources such as materials, consumables, equipment, tools, etc., required for all Mechanical and related work prior to execution.

2. Plans and analyses all possible methodologies and recommends the best options for approval prior to execution at site.

3. Interprets Mechanical drawings and studies the contract documents and applicable standards or specifications prior to execution of any jobs.

4. Submits site daily reports, inspection requests, estimates and all applicable monitoring reports on regular basis or as required.

5. Supports in accomplishing all the goals and targets assigned by the management. Goals and targets include invoicing, collection, materials and equipment delivery, operation, startup and commissioning.

6. Ensures that all the works done are in accordance with the approved mechanical drawings, contract documents (Work Orders), project specifications, and all applicable standards whether local, national or international standards.

7. Ensures that all sitework is done according to all applicable quality standards.

8. Directly responsible for the safety of all Mechanical groups’ personnel of the project by ensuring that the project execution will be done according to all applicable health, safety, sanitary and environmental standards.

9. Carrying out all Mechanical Works and equipment’s installation activities.

10. Pre-resolves any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems at site that may arise at any time

11. Responsible for cost control and budgeting studies for all assigned projects.

12. Arranges with Consultant works and hand over MIR, IR at Site and Hand over documents.

13. Prepares and follow procurement, manpower, mobilization plans related to assigned projects.

14. Monitors Time schedule and dates of handovers according to agreed upon plans and targets.

15. Assists in making Variation orders and coordinating with the sales team.

16. Coordinates the materials and resources related to sites, inspect and handover materials and equipment from warehouse to client premises.

Job Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (HVAC), or a related field.
2. Minimum 3years of experience in chillers and CRAC units and datacenter installations.
3. Experience in implementing/utilizing the basics of HVAC and heat load calculations;
4. Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical (HVAC) schematics and single line diagrams;
