Summary

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. An individual who is an intrapreneur, who will be instrumental in overseeing construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet both technical specifications and client expectations. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering high-quality solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards.
  • Request City construction permits as assigned.
  • Upload all communications, documents, pictures, meetings, permits, etc.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Project mobilization and demobilization.
  • Collect subcontract agreements and all required documents from subcontractors prior to the start of a job. Update accordingly.
  • Work with the PM on change orders and ensure fully executed copies are received.
  • Work with the PM on subcontractor monthly billings.
  • Request and review preconstruction and close-out documents for approvals.
  • Assist in the 3-week look ahead schedule.
  • Visit the job site one per week, or as assigned.
  • Utilize software tools such as Procore and Sage 100 to help manage projects.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality control throughout the construction process.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer for a General Contractor.
  • Valid driver's license with no more than 2 points to drive a company vehicle for job site visits. Alternate transportation may be used if cost and time are similar.
  • Ability to read and understand a full set of construction plans and specifications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of codes and standards relevant to construction projects.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Preconstruction and Closeout documentation.
  • Intermediate knowledge of processing subcontractor AIA monthly billings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
