Project Engineer (Mechanical)

MEP Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is a contracting firm proving end-to-end for Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing works. Our company is the sister firm of IZHAR construction company Pvt Ltd. MEP Solutions is seeking a full-time on-site Project Engineer (Mechanical)- Deluge Fire System expert to join our team in Karachi at K-Electric project.

Job description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support the design, execution, and commissioning of Deluge fire suppression systems. You will work closely with the project team, vendors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope/budget, and in compliance with safety & regulatory standards.

• Submitting daily manpower report and progress report to the Project Manager is also their responsibility.
• Assist in the preparation of engineering deliverables (Shop drawings, calculations, specifications, BOQs).
• Coordinate with Procurement Team for equipment procurement, and delivery schedules.
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of deluge fire suppression systems.
• Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with design documents and safety standards.
• Prepare and Review shop drawings, method statements, and inspection reports.
• Track project progress, maintain risk & issue logs, and report status to management.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to resolve technical queries and implement design changes.
• Ensure all documentation meets client and statutory requirements (NFPA, local fire codes, etc.)
• Quantities for all disciplines such as HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, etc., will be calculated as per their responsibility. It will be their responsibility to calculate these quantities as per the Shop drawings and physical site conditions.
• It will be their responsibility to raise inspection requests (IRs) for all works completed on site, irrespective of discipline, and to coordinate with the client and consultant for conducting inspections.
• It is also their responsibility to update IPC every 10 days after the work is done and IR approval is received.
• It is their responsibility to submit IPC to the client every 27 days, follow up on it.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, flow diagrams, and system schematics.
• Familiarity with project management software ( MS Project, MS Word, AutoCAD etc.).
• Problem solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Total Experience: 7 to 8 Years

Qualification: BSc Mechanical Engineering.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs120,000.00 - Rs140,000.00 per month
