OGSI designs and manufactures high-quality products and metering systems for the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Power Generation industries. The centerpiece of this facility is the hydrocarbon flow laboratory with calibration methods that include a master meter and small volume prover.
The Project Engineer forms the hub of the project, manages the engineering & customer facing activities, and is responsible for the successful completion of each contract.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the engineering of the project, ensuring that all phases are carried out to meet the project schedule and budget
- Coordinating the project team
- Managing Customer communication
- Leading the planned Project meetings such as Design & Constructability reviews, HAZOP, P&ID, GA, Process, Mechanical, E&I, and Control System meetings
- Managing the implications of changes and ensuring the overall design integrity
- Specification & procurement of equipment for incorporation into the package
- Providing technical support & feedback to the Proposals team
- Providing support to manufacturing
- Conduct site surveys within UAE & GCC
- Supervise installation and commissioning
- Participating in testing and inspections
- Regularly reporting on key deliverables such as man-hours, bought-out items & completion dates
- Ensuring that the design meets all required customer specifications, industry standards and codes
- Generating project specific engineering procedures & documentation
- Ensuring that all drawings & documents meet project requirements
- Achieving project milestone dates to support cash flow
- Supplier invoice approval.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Mechanical, Instrument or Process Engineering Degree
- Demonstrable experience in a project engineering role – the ideal candidate would have a history of working on bespoke engineered packages for the Energy industry
- Strong communication, negotiation, technical and organisational skills
- PMP Certification is an advantage.
- Lean Six sigma is also an advantage.
Additional:
This is mainly an office-based role, although some travel to our Workshops, Suppliers or Customer sites may be required for time to time, both nationally and internationally.
Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per hour
