Key Responsibilities:
- Work in close coordination with architects, structural and MEP engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure that all project objectives are met effectively.
- Supervise the day-to-day construction operations, ensuring execution in line with approved designs, schedules, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare and maintain project schedules using project management tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project), and ensure alignment with deliverables.
- Monitor and manage budgets, cost control measures, and financial forecasts to avoid overruns.
- Lead on-site teams and subcontractors to ensure productivity, quality workmanship, and adherence to safety practices.
- Conduct periodic site inspections and proactively resolve technical or operational issues that may hinder project progress.
- Manage and document all change requests and variations, ensuring approvals are obtained and impacts are assessed.
- Maintain seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders through regular updates, meetings, and reports.
- Ensure thorough documentation of project progress including daily site logs, reports, and stakeholder meeting records.
- Enforce strict safety protocols across the project to prevent incidents and ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
- Coordinate procurement processes, ensuring timely acquisition and delivery of construction materials and equipment.
- Lead project troubleshooting efforts and provide strategic solutions to mitigate disruptions or risks.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in a similar leadership role within Grade A or B contracting firms.
- Proven ability to set up and manage a construction department or operational unit from scratch.
- Extensive knowledge of construction techniques, budgeting, procurement, and project lifecycle management.
- Strong technical, financial, and administrative management capabilities.
- Experience in high-rise buildings, villa developments, and large-scale multi-project execution is mandatory.
- Must have managed workforces of 300+ workers and dealt with multiple subcontractors across disciplines.
- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership presence, and ability to manage pressure and responsibility at a high level.
- Valid driver’s license required.
