PROJECT MANAGER
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead our steel fabrication projects and ensure their successful execution from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, expertise in steel fabrication processes, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a project manager in the steel fabrication industry, with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of steel fabrication processes, including detailing, fabrication, and erection.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
- Proficiency in project management software, Excel, Microsoft Project, Primavera as well as MS Word and Outlook.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve project goals.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify issues, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing steel fabrication projects, including AISC standards and AWS welding codes.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and oversee all aspects of steel fabrication projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource allocation, and quality control.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with all internal departments and subcontractors to communicate project scope requirements.
- Manage all subcontractors and subcontracts.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets, and ensure adherence to project milestones and deadlines.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and forecast costs to ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints.
- Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services required for fabrication projects.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess work progress, quality standards, and safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with project team members, stakeholders, and senior management to provide project updates, address concerns, and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards governing steel fabrication projects, including safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and closeout documents.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team.
