Job Title: Project Manager – Furniture and Fit-Out

Job Purpose
The Project Manager (Furniture and Fit-Out) is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering interior fit-out and furniture projects from initiation to completion. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting the client’s quality expectations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for furniture and fit out works.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Define scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with client requirements.
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
2. Execution and Site Management
- Oversee daily project operations and ensure adherence to project plans.
- Supervise site works, including joinery, furniture installation, partitions, ceilings, flooring, and MEP coordination.
- Monitor subcontractors, suppliers, and site labor to ensure quality and productivity.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
3. Procurement and Vendor Management
- Coordinate with the procurement team to source materials, furniture, and finishes as per design specifications.
- Evaluate and manage subcontractors and suppliers for performance and reliability.
- Track material deliveries and manage logistics to avoid project delays.
4. Budget and Cost Control
- Monitor project costs and ensure financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare cost reports and forecasts; identify and mitigate potential cost overruns.
- Approve and validate variations and claims as necessary.
5. Client and Stakeholder Management
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project.
- Manage client meetings, presentations, and approvals.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering projects according to specifications and timelines.
6. Quality Assurance and Handover
- Ensure all work meets design intent, technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Conduct snagging and de-snagging processes before project handover.
- Prepare and deliver as-built documentation and warranties.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in interior design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project management within the interior fit-out and furniture industry.
- Proven track record managing commercial, hospitality, or corporate fit-out projects.
- Strong understanding of joinery, finishes, and MEP integration.
- PMP certification is an advantage.
