GEA is seeking a Project Manager to lead, document, and ensure the success of projects across our North American Farm Technologies portfolio. This role focuses on Automatic Milking Systems (AMS), Conventional Milking Systems (CMS), continuous improvement initiatives, escalated site management, and customer service delivery projects. The Project Manager will serve as a central point of contact for GEA dealers, employees, and dairy producers, ensuring satisfaction while driving revenue-focused results. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with sales, hygiene, service, and other GEA departments, as well as active networking with dealers and producers to maintain world-class service standards. The Project Manager will also support documentation, process optimization, and automation initiatives to enhance operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and document new AMS and CMS projects, continuous improvement, and escalated site management projects.
  • Provide support and management for NAM GEA dealers and employees related to AMS/CMS operations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with the Automatic and Conventional Milking System portfolio.
  • Collaborate with other GEA departments (sales, hygiene, service) to ensure seamless operations.
  • Maintain project workbooks, Gantt charts, and site visit reports.
  • Act as the single point of contact for missing parts resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Review BOMs from sales quotes for accuracy and suggest improvements to Product Management.
  • Assist in developing a best-in-class service product portfolio to meet customer expectations.
  • Support business process automation, including R&D Test Agreements, Credit Memo requests, and extended warranty documentation.
  • Lead continuous service excellence initiatives and digitalization efforts.
  • Travel 40–50% across North America as needed.

Your profile and qualifications:

Qualifications & Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Communications, Engineering, or equivalent experience (5+ years).
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or completion within six months of hire.
  • Experience managing multi-year projects with vendors, distributor networks, and global supply chains.
  • Knowledge of the agricultural or dairy industry is a plus.
  • Strong risk management, dispute resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Project) and Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Query).
  • Self-starter, highly engaged, and results-oriented.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $75,000 - $115,000 per year. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.

The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards, such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
