The Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of infrastructure projects, primarily focused on earthworks, cutting, filling, and related civil works. The role requires ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with Abu Dhabi authority standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all phases of infrastructure projects from initiation to handover.
  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, and budgets for earthworks and related civil works.
  • Coordinate design reviews, material submittals, and approval processes with consultants and authorities.
  • Monitor daily project progress, productivity, and adherence to schedule and quality requirements.
  • Ensure effective resource planning for manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Supervise site activities related to cutting, filling, grading, compaction, and sub-base preparation.
  • Review engineering drawings, topographic surveys, and geotechnical reports to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
  • Ensure correct implementation of levels, slopes, and grading lines as per project specifications.
  • Manage site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality standards.
  • Oversee testing and inspection of soil compaction, material quality, and field density tests (FDT).
  • Review project contracts and identify obligations, scope boundaries, and risk areas.
  • Control project costs through monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and variation claims.
  • Approve subcontractor invoices and progress payments based on verified work done.
  • Prepare monthly progress reports, project cost reports, and cash flow forecasts.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 10–15 years of experience in civil/ infrastructure construction with at least 5 years in Abu Dhabi or the UAE.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale earthwork, road, or infrastructure projects (cut and fill, grading, sub-base, utilities).
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, Excel).
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic.
