Position Overview

The Project Manager – Joinery will be responsible for managing all aspects of joinery projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that scope, budget, quality, and timelines are met. The role demands technical expertise in joinery production and installation, strong leadership, and excellent coordination with clients, consultants, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

• Lead joinery project planning, defining scope, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables.
• Review project drawings, material specifications, and design intent to ensure feasibility and alignment with client expectations.
• Develop detailed work programs and monitor progress throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate between design, procurement, production, and installation teams for smooth project execution.

2. Site & Production Coordination

• Supervise site progress and ensure alignment between factory production and site installation schedules.
• Conduct site visits to monitor quality, safety, and workmanship.
• Resolve technical issues or discrepancies arising during production or installation.
• Ensure all materials and finishes meet approved standards before dispatch and installation.

3. Cost & Resource Management

• Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and financial reports.
• Manage procurement schedules and coordinate with suppliers for timely material deliveries.
• Optimize resource allocation to achieve productivity and cost-efficiency targets.

4. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all works comply with Alpago’s internal quality control standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate with the QC team to conduct inspections and close out non-conformance reports (if any).
• Enforce adherence to HSE policies and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

5. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors regarding joinery scope.
• Attend project meetings, present progress reports, and handle client communications professionally.
• Manage design revisions, variation orders, and approvals in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

6. Team Leadership & Reporting

• Supervise a team of site engineers, supervisors, and foremen to ensure alignment and accountability.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
• Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management review.

7. Additional Responsibilities

• Support continuous improvement initiatives in joinery project management.
• Undertake additional duties as required to ensure successful project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Design (preferred).
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in joinery and fit-out project management, with a focus on luxury or bespoke projects.
• Strong knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes, materials, and installation techniques.
• Proven track record of managing high-end residential or hospitality joinery projects in the UAE.
• Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, and project documentation software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
