The IT Software Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering software development projects within scope, timeline, and budget. The role ensures alignment between business objectives and technical solutions while maintaining quality standards and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements
- Lead cross-functional teams including developers, QA, and business analysts
- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and ensure clear communication
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Manage project budgets, costs, and resource utilization
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, governance, and company policies
- Provide regular project status reports and performance updates
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in IT/software project management
- Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
- Proven experience delivering software projects successfully
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is an advantage
