This work will be executed by a high performance team that will include VP of Project Management and Engineering, local Site Managers, Project Managers, Electrical/Project Engineers, and with EPC contractors deployed across a portfolio of work. The portfolio is generally the energy generation and delivery infrastructure, and other site utilities. What You Will Do

Lancium is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to oversee the delivery of complex electrical infrastructure projects from Notice to Proceed through energization and turnover to Operations. This role will supervise EPC contractors, manage multiple work scopes, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, budget, and schedule objectives. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at stakeholder management, and can lead multidisciplinary teams to achieve ambitious project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Single-Site Ownership: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal/external stakeholders, subcontractors, and site trades. Lead scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change control across multiple projects, ensuring integration into main grid-connected substations and utilities for site clients.


  • Team Leadership: Manage high-performing teams across Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Power, SCADA, IT, Technology, Commercial, and Site Operations. Foster a collaborative culture that motivates team members to excel.

  • EPC Oversight: Direct and monitor tier-1 EPC/EPCM contractors delivering HV AIS substations and 3rd-party power integration systems. Manage performance guarantees, liquidated damages, change orders, and claims.

  • Controls for Volatile Loads: Ensure plant controllers, EMS, and SCADA systems meet requirements for fast ramp buffering, export/import modes, and price/dispatch signals. Collaborate with the Technical Development team during development, testing, and large-scale deployment.

  • Engineering Oversight: Supervise EPC and Owner’s Engineering in protection & controls, metering, communications/teleprotection, grounding, and relay settings. Ensure compliance with utility/ISO/client interconnection standards and power-quality metrics.

  • Procurement Management: Orchestrate procurement of long-lead items including transformers, breakers, reactors, capacitors, HV cables, transmission equipment, and 3rd-party BESS/Nat-Gas hardware. Track expediting, FATs, and logistics.

  • Construction Management: Enforce EPC safety standards (LOTO, lift plans, energized work), QA/QC processes, RFI/submittal discipline, and field productivity. Resolve roadblocks and optimize work sequencing.

  • Testing & Commissioning: Oversee pre-energization checkouts, relay/SCADA testing, staged energization, islanding/black-start trials, and microgrid performance validation.

  • Stakeholder & Regulatory Management: Coordinate with utilities, ISOs, AHJs, and data center counterparts. Ensure full lifecycle compliance with permits and environmental commitments.

  • Reporting & Controls: Maintain executive dashboards, track earned progress against financial milestones, and manage documentation and decision logs.


What We Want From You

  • Four (4) year degree in Electrical or Power Engineering, with extensive practical work experience in high 100’s MW electrical and electro-mechanical applications, specifically with extensive electrical construction experience, advanced degree, and Electrical PE qualification (or similar experience).

  • Professional Engineering / PMP Certification preferred

  • 15–20+ years in utility-scale power operations (HV substations, microgrids, storage, generation) with 5+ years leading 24/7 operations or a control room and experience dealing with emergencies.

  • Able to work with confidential information in a professional manner.

  • Abilities as a demonstrated team builder for not only safety and security culture, but also morale.

  • Demonstrated success meeting strict SLAs for industrial or data-center customers, by experience with Hands-on with protection & controls, EMS/SCADA, plant controllers, and PQ troubleshooting, with expert 3rd party assistance.

  • Strong vendor/OEM management and contract performance enforcement (LTSA, KPIs, LDs). Excellent incident command, Root Cause Analysis, and stakeholder communication skills.
