We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager II to lead the development and execution of commercial and industrial-scale renewable energy projects in Southern California. This role requires a proactive individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality projects and fostering strong client relationships in the renewable energy sector.
Role Overview

Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, ensuring consistent, timely, and high-quality project execution.

Deliver exceptional customer service to clients throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining trust and satisfaction.

Oversee the preparation and submission of deliverables with permitting agencies, interconnection utilities, site hosts, design professionals, and internal project controls to advance projects to the construction phase.

Manage resource allocation, scheduling, contracting, budgeting, and quality control throughout all construction phases.

Manage risk across scope, schedule, budget, safety, and quality throughout project lifecycle.

Champion safe work practices and compliance with Valta Injury and Illness Prevention Plan

Ensure smooth project closeouts, including thorough testing, commissioning, quality assurance, and final energization for delivery to the project owner.

Maintain and monitor project schedules, budgets, submittals, RFIs, and other deliverables to achieve milestones and maintain key performance metrics.

Provide regular reporting, including weekly updates, look-ahead schedules, critical path analyses, milestone projections, work in progress, and other reporting as necessary.

Collaborate with procurement, financing, accounting, and other internal teams to ensure seamless material and resource flow.

Manage RFP process and subcontracting process with subcontractors to develop accurate estimates, contracts, scopes of work, and project deliverables.

Be available and proactive in visiting job sites to build client relationships, plan strategic execution, and ensure performance.

Be responsible for ensuring successful meetings, internally and externally, through agenda preparation, meeting minutes capture and distribution, and action item logging, follow-up, and follow through.

Education & Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (engineering or renewable energy preferred).

5+ years of experience in the solar industry, with a focus on project development or construction management, or related field.

Proficiency in MS Project, Procore, and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Familiarity with permitting, interconnection processes, and construction standards in the renewable energy sector.

- NABCAP Associate (technical focused)
- CMCI Certified Construction Manager (construction focused)
Salary & Location
- Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000 based on experience and qualifications.
- Location: Location: Dana Point, CA/Ontario (Hybrid work model)
