Project Manager (Interior Fitout)

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 7-12 years UAE experience in Interior Fit-Out projects
  • Strong knowledge of local authority approval processes (Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, etc.)
  • Proven experience handling commercial/retail fit-out projects
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and fast-paced site environments

Duties & Responsibilities:

Project Planning

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Enforce rules, regulations and procedures on site.
  • Collaborate with the sales and design teams to understand client requirements and project objectives.
  • Initiate and lead project kick-off meetings with all stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project goals and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for entire project management plan including scope, procurement, production, design, communication, cost, time, risk, project human resources, close out etc

Safety & Site Management

  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all team members and contractors.
  • Oversee sites and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Permitting and Compliance

  • Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and regulatory approvals are obtained and adhered to throughout the project.
  • Stay updated on local building codes and regulations.
  • Contact the respective regulatory authorities to inspect and comment on the completed fit-out works for the issuance of occupancy certificate.

Client engagement & Communication

  • Address client concerns, changes, and requests promptly and professionally, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients & stakeholders, maintaining open and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Team Management

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure their accountability
  • Assemble and manage project teams, including designers, contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Conduct regular project team meetings to monitor progress, resolve issues, and track project milestones.

Budget & Cost management

  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing
  • Create and manage project budgets, closely monitoring expenses and ensuring cost control measures are in place.
  • Checking invoices from sub-contractors based on the work done at site.
  • Generate project progress report and obtain approval/sign from client representative for prompt submission of invoice

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Ensure the timely completion of snag work prior to project handover

  • Oversee the client request throughout the project defect liability period.
  • Implement and enforce rigorous quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of workmanship and materials.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality checks to verify compliance with design specifications
  • Identify potential risks and issues that could impact project timelines or budgets
  • Develop mitigation plans and take proactive measures to minimize project risks.
  • Take decisive actions to minimize risks and keep projects on track

Schedule Management

  • Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes, delays, or client requests
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, tracking progress and ensuring adherence to deadlines.

Documentation & reporting

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports.
  • Provide regular/ weekly report of project status updates to clients and senior management
  • Obtain the signature on the certificate taking over from the client representative during the project handover.
  • Take the signature on the defect liability completion certificate from client representative upon the conclusion of the defect liability period.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to AED15,000.00 per month
