Project Manager - Kenya

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of fiber operations ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires hands-on experience in managing fiber connections and maintenance activities and coordinating with cross-functional teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day activities of fiber operations.
• Work closely with project coordinators, field engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project timelines and deliverables are met.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including work plans, reports, schedules, and meeting minutes.
• Track project progress and provide regular updates to the Head of Department and other relevant teams.
• Track KPIs like SLA, CSAT and NPS.
• Assist in resource planning, allocation, and scheduling for field teams.
• Ensure compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
• Support in vendor and contractor management, including performance monitoring and coordination.
• Participate in field visits to assess project progress and resolve on-site issues as needed.
• Escalate risks or delays promptly and propose mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in managing fiber optic operations.
• Strong understanding of fiber network infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Project) and project management tools.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and adapt to dynamic project requirements.
• Experience working with vendors, contractors, and cross-functional teams.
