The Project Manager – Low Current Systems Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering low-current (ELV) system projects on time, within budget, and according to technical specifications. This role oversees project design, technical coordination, site execution, vendor management, and client communication for systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, BMS, structured cabling, public address, and network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management


  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and coordination of low-current/ELV projects from initiation to handover.

  • Prepare project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource plans.

  • Manage procurement, material delivery timelines, and vendor/subcontractor performance.

  • Ensure project execution aligns with design drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and technical compliance.

  • Prepare project status reports, risk assessments, and progress updates for stakeholders.

Technical Responsibilities


  • Review design drawings, schematics, BOQs, and technical documentation.

  • Provide engineering solutions and troubleshoot technical issues on site.

  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and authorities for approvals and inspections.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (NFPA, BS, IEC, local regulations).

  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover of ELV systems.

Stakeholder & Communication


  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams.

  • Manage change orders, variations, and contract documents.

  • Conduct technical meetings, site coordination meetings, and progress reviews.

Budget & Cost Control


  • Prepare project cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.

  • Track project costs and ensure expenditures stay within approved limits.

  • Evaluate and approve subcontractor invoices and progress claims.



Requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.

Experience


  • 3–7+ years of professional experience in low-current / ELV system engineering.

  • Proven experience managing projects such as:

    • CCTV and surveillance systems

    • Access control & biometric systems

    • Fire alarm systems

    • Structured cabling & data networks

    • Public address & audio systems

    • BMS / automation systems


Technical Skills


  • Strong knowledge of ELV/low-current equipment, standards, and installation practices.

  • Ability to review shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submittals.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Project / Primavera, and MS Office.

  • Familiar with testing and commissioning procedures for ELV systems.

Soft Skills


  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work under pressure.

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Other Requirements


  • Valid driver’s license (if required).

  • Ability to travel to project sites.

  • PMP or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).
