Role Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership, planning, execution, and delivery of the nursery development and landscape operations program.
This role requires strong expertise in:
- Large-scale nursery operations
- Irrigation infrastructure
- Tree production and acclimatization
- Landscape construction
- Multi-stakeholder coordination
- International procurement and logistics
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and operational management of a large-scale nursery facility.
- Oversee production and quality control of large, medium, and small trees.
- Manage irrigation design, installation, and commissioning (drip & smart irrigation systems).
- Develop and execute project schedules aligned with major event milestones.
- Coordinate with local authorities, consultants, and client representatives.
- Oversee HSE, quality assurance, and sustainability compliance.
- Manage international sourcing, logistics, and plant material procurement.
- Ensure KPI compliance including survival rates, sustainability targets, and reporting.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team including horticulturists, irrigation engineers, and site managers.
- Control budget, cost management, and financial performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
- Horticulture
- Agriculture
- Landscape Architecture
- Irrigation Engineering
- Civil Engineering (with relevant experience)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in:
- Large-scale nursery development
- Landscape mega projects
- Irrigation infrastructure projects
- Proven experience managing projects involving:
- 20,000+ trees
- Nursery operations exceeding 50 hectares
- Experience in Middle East projects preferred.
- Experience in mega events / government projects is a strong advantage.
- Strong knowledge of international horticultural standards.
Preferred Background
- Experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC
- Experience working with international suppliers (Europe, Africa, Asia)
- Knowledge of smart irrigation technologies
- Familiarity with large event-driven landscape programs
