Project Planner will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for construction and MEP works to ensure timely project execution. The role includes planning activities, tracking progress, coordinating with engineering, procurement, and site teams, and preparing progress reports in line with project milestones and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed project schedules and baseline programs.
- Develop construction and MEP work sequences, resource plans, and manpower histograms.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules on a regular basis.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and procurement teams for project updates.
- Identify delays, risks, and critical path activities affecting project completion.
- Prepare recovery schedules and mitigation plans to overcome delays.
- Generate weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, and look-ahead schedules.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and procurement activities.
- Assist project management in forecasting timelines and resource requirements.
- Participate in project meetings with consultants, subcontractors, and clients.
- Maintain planning records, reports, and project documentation.
- Ensure project schedules comply with contract requirements and company standards.
- Support claims preparation related to extension of time (EOT) and delay analysis when required.
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction OR MEP project planning.
- Understanding of Civil or HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
- Knowledge of project control techniques and progress monitoring.
- Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction or MEP contracting companies.
- GCC/UAE project experience is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Residential, commercial, high-rise, hotel, hospital, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience in handling MEP coordination and project scheduling.
- Knowledge of project reporting formats and client submissions.
