Project Planning Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of project management are effectively coordinated. The Planning Engineer will utilize various software tools and methodologies to develop project schedules, manage resources, and ensure compliance with contracts and specifications. This position requires a strong background in construction management and excellent time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and other construction management software.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project timelines and deliverables.
• Utilize ProCore and Bluebeam for document management, collaboration, and communication across project teams.
• Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate cost assessments for projects.
• Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure all project requirements are met.
• Monitor progress on-site to identify potential delays or issues that may impact the schedule.
• Implement effective project coordination strategies to optimize workflow and resource allocation.
• Prepare regular reports on project status, including updates on scheduling, budget adherence, and resource utilization.

Skills

• Proficient in construction estimating and project scheduling techniques.
• Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Civil 3D, HeavyBid, ProCore, Bluebeam, and other relevant software tools.
• Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with contracts and legal aspects of construction projects.
• Previous experience in construction site environments is preferred.
