ABOUT NCEES

The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing professional licensure for engineers and surveyors. NCEES staff members develop, administer, and score the examinations used for engineering and surveying licensure in the United States. ABOUT OUR POSITION

As a project scheduler, you’ll develop and maintain integrated work plans to facilitate efficient exam development projects. Duties include synthesizing large amounts of information into formal critical-path project schedules; developing and maintaining logic-driven schedules utilizing critical path methodologies; communicating project schedule, plan, status, restraints, and critical tasks to the project team; anticipating, identifying, and responding to schedule variances and initiating corrective actions to maintain on-time project delivery; and integrating exam development meetings into project schedules.


WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in project scheduling or project coordination is preferred. Associate’s degree and 7 years of related experience accepted.
  • Extensive knowledge of word processing software and proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Basecamp, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet)
  • Ability to initiate and implement administrative procedures and evaluate their effectiveness
  • Effective organizational skills with a meticulous eye for detail
  • Effective planning skills
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in project schedules
  • Ability to work occasional overtime and Saturday hours
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
