Projects Engineer - Civil Construction Background

Locally available We are seeking a Project Engineer with a strong civil construction background to support the planning and execution of our projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and coordinating civil construction works in line with project schedules, budgets, and specifications.
• Review IFC drawings, specifications, and contracts, and raise RFIs where clarifications are required.
• Monitor site progress, track work against program, and report deviations, risks, and required corrective actions to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and internal disciplines to ensure smooth project execution and timely approvals.
• Support preparation of work schedules, look‑ahead plans, manpower and material forecasts.
• Assist in cost control activities, including monitoring quantities, variations, and supporting documentation for claims and change orders.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, method statements, ITPs, and HSE requirements on site.
• Prepare periodic progress reports, minutes of meetings, and maintain updated project documentation and logs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 4–7 years’ experience as Project / Civil Project Engineer in building
• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience in planning, coordination with stakeholders, and basic cost/budget monitoring.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with project planning software (e.g., MS Project/Primavera) is an advantage.
• Good communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• MMUP/UPDA certification is an asset (for roles in Qatar)
