Proofreader/Report Production Assistant

Department: Report Production

Location: Full-time remote position, with required travel to Grayslake, IL headquarters 1-2 times per year

Classification: Non-Exempt

The Report Production Assistant is a member of the team responsible for final review and production of our professional reports. Performing this position requires multi-tasking, flexibility, and a positive work attitude with the ability to work well with others. The work is fast-paced and requires strong attention to detail, while meeting tight deadlines.

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of English mechanics, grammar, and usage.
• Advanced knowledge of formatting in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of standard construction terminology highly desirable.
• Ability to work with others in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

• Proofreading, building and issuing reports to clients.
• Invoicing projects (experience using Quickbooks a plus, but not required).
• Archiving reports and projects.
• Transcribing photo caption documents for Architects/Engineers.
• Generating templates for projects.
• Updating distribution information for projects by directly communicating with clients.
• Typing handwritten reports when needed.

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One year of proofreading experience preferred.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit for long periods of time; use hands and fingers; and talk and hear.

Work Environment:

Work from home with the exception of all-staff meetings.

Pay:

From $18.50/hour. This position is entitled to overtime pay at a rate of 1.5 times regular hourly rate.
