Property Manager

Steve Brown Apartments, a leader in Madison's rental market since 1980, is looking for a driven yet humble leader who is ready to join our management team at the on-site level. 

What You'll Do All Day.

Property Managers are a jack of all trades: you'll spend a good portion of your day having fun and building connections as you lead your on-site team and assist prospects and residents. You'll also juggle budget, facilities, turnover projects, meet with vendors, negotiate contract terms, maintain property and employee standards, manage move-in and move-out, handle customer service needs, and build a team of talent through coaching & training. Every day will challenge and develop you, for the better!

What It Takes.

People who do best in this role are strong leaders who are excellent communicators, have outgoing and genuine personalities, are motivated by results, and are a little competitive. You'll need to be customer focused, highly organized, and able to delegate. We require a high-school diploma and five years of industry experience, or a bachelor's degree and two years industry experience for this leadership position.

When and Where We'll See You.

We're currently hiring for the Downtown Madison portfolio. As a full-time employee, you'll work Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexibility for extended hours or weekends as needed.

Our Application Process.

Applications and resumes are required. All potential candidates start with a 15-minute phone call, and those we'd like to meet are invited to interview on site or virtually if you're not local. We typically interview each candidate at least two, sometimes four times before making an offer. We hire for the long term, not for the moment, and take the time to get it right.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
