Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Property Manager to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our property management department. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a customer-focused mindset, ensuring that all interactions with tenants and property owners are handled professionally. Experience with property management software and knowledge of landlord-tenant law will be beneficial in this position.
Responsibilities
- Managing tenant relations and provide exceptional customer service to residents and property owners.
- Handle administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and maintaining accurate records.
- Support the leasing process by preparing lease agreements, conducting background checks, and coordinating move-ins and move-outs.
- Maintain knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant law, and Section 8 guidelines to ensure compliance.
- Utilize property management software such as Esite for data entry and customer relationship management.
- Coordinate property maintenance requests through CMMS and communicate effectively with maintenance staff.
- Assist in conflict management and negotiation processes between tenants and management.
- Prepare reports on occupancy rates, maintenance issues, and tenant feedback as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management or real estate administration is preferred.
- Familiarity with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) regulations is a plus.
- Strong understanding of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 programs.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building positive relationships with tenants.
- Proficient in administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and office experience.
- Strong phone etiquette with the ability to handle inquiries professionally.
- Skills in conflict management and negotiation are highly valued.
- Experience with facilities management or property maintenance is advantageous.
