Property Manager

A Property Manager is responsible for overseeing residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties-making sure they run smoothly, stay profitable, and tenants are satisfied.

Key responsibilities

1. Property operations

Manage day-to-day operations of buildings (apartments, offices, retail)

Ensure facilities (electricity, AC, water, elevators) are working properly

Coordinate with maintenance and service teams

2. Tenant management

Handle tenant inquiries, complaints, and requests

Manage lease agreements, renewals, and terminations

Ensure high tenant satisfaction and retention

3. Financial management

Prepare and manage budgets

Monitor rental income and expenses

Ensure rent collection and reduce payment delays

Report financial performance to senior management

4. Maintenance & contractors

Plan preventive maintenance

Supervise contractors (cleaning, security, repairs)

Ensure work is completed on time and within budget

5. Legal & compliance

Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations

Enforce lease terms and property policies

Handle disputes when needed

6. Reporting & administration

Prepare reports (occupancy, income, maintenance)

Maintain records of tenants, contracts, and services

Use property management software systems
