Cornerstone is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative Proposal Specialist to support how work is pursued and won across Cornerstone and affiliated companies. This role is centered on the pursuit process—bringing structure, clarity, consistency, and accountability to proposals, presentations, and pursuit coordination.

The role also offers exposure across multiple companies, markets, and project types—creating opportunities to support a broader range of pursuits, teams, and client experiences across Alaska.

Boreal Equipment supports construction and industrial operations across Alaska through equipment, logistics, and operational support solutions tailored to demanding environments and remote conditions. The company plays a critical role in helping teams execute efficiently, safely, and reliably across the state.

Turnkey Property Solutions extends value beyond construction through ongoing property support, facility services, and responsive solutions that help clients maintain and operate their assets long after projects are complete. Together, the affiliated companies provide a more connected, full-lifecycle approach to serving Alaska communities and clients.

All three companies maintain full-time operations in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau while supporting projects and clients across Alaska.

JOB OVERVIEW

The Proposal Specialist supports Cornerstone’s preconstruction and leadership teams by coordinating proposals, qualifications packages, interviews, and pursuit materials from kickoff through submission—helping strengthen how opportunities are positioned and communicated before work is awarded.

You won’t just assemble proposals—you’ll help teams put forward their best thinking when it matters most.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Coordinate Pursuits from Start to Finish - Manage proposal schedules, deadlines, deliverables, and submission requirements while helping teams stay organized, aligned, and on track.
• Bring Clarity to the Message - Organize, edit, and refine proposal content so submissions clearly communicate experience, value, differentiators, and project approach.
• Support Pursuit Strategy - Partner with preconstruction, operations, and leadership teams to support go/no-go discussions, interview preparation, and pursuit planning efforts before proposals are ever submitted.
• Maintain Quality and Consistency - Ensure proposals, presentations, resumes, and marketing materials meet high standards for quality, formatting, compliance, and brand consistency.
• Support Knowledge Management - Maintain proposal content, project information, resumes, and pursuit records while helping improve systems, templates, and workflows.
• Help Tell the Story of the Work - Support development of project narratives, photography coordination, graphics, and content that showcase projects, people, and culture across construction, equipment, logistics, and property services.
• Collaborate Across Teams - Work closely with operations, preconstruction, marketing, and leadership teams to keep pursuits moving and submissions coordinated.
• Improve Processes and Performance - Help strengthen how pursuits are tracked, coordinated, and delivered while supporting continuous improvement across proposal systems and workflows.

EXPERIENCE THAT WILL SET YOU UP WELL

• Proposal, marketing, communications, or pursuit coordination experience in construction, AEC, or related industries.
• Experience supporting RFQs, RFPs, SOQs, interviews, or qualifications packages.
• Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and formatting skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, CRM systems, or similar marketing/proposal tools.
• Familiarity with Alaska or similarly relationship-driven, logistically complex markets.

HOW WE WORK

Hybrid office and field environment with flexibility based on role responsibilities and business needs. This position supports teams and projects across Alaska and includes collaboration with offices in Anchorage, Fairbanks, and Juneau, along with occasional statewide travel for interviews, project visits, industry engagement, and team collaboration.
