The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks a full-time Prosthodontic/Implant Coordinator for the Advanced Prosthodontic Program. The college’s Advanced Prosthodontic Program trains graduate students in attaining excellence in clinical prosthodontics, prepare for careers in private practice, teaching and/or research, and become eligible for examination by the American Board of Prosthodontics. The clinical component of the program includes all phases of prosthodontics: fixed prosthodontics; implant prosthodontics; complete denture prosthodontics; maxillofacial prosthetics; and removable partial prosthodontics.

Reporting to the Director of the Advanced Prosthodontic Program, this position is responsible for the following:

Patient Communication and Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, explaining complex treatment plans and building rapport to ensure a positive patient experience in the Advanced Prosthodontics Clinic.

Treatment Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with the residents to present treatment plans, schedule all appointments, and manage the logistics of multi-phase treatment.

Financial and Administrative Management: Discuss financial arrangements, process insurance claims, and manage patient payments to ensure all financial matters are handled accurately and transparently.

The targeted hiring pay range is $19.28 - $25.19 per hour based on experience and education.

This position requires successful completion of background check(s) and drug & alcohol screening.

The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the third largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into eleven divisions or academic units. All major ADA-recognized dental specialties are represented.

Full-time position with regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., may include evening work on occasion to meet program needs

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs (e.g., office supplies, files)

  • Manual dexterity for keyboarding and handling paperwork

  • Clear vision (with or without correction) for reading screens and documents

  • Ability to communicate effectively in person and by phone

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of 4 years’ experience working in a health care setting, scheduling appointments and treatment plan; demonstrated ability to personally model subject-matter knowledge in written and oral language, accurately assess students' learning abilities, needs, and styles with written and verbal communications and can work closely and cooperatively with faculty, staff, residents and patients to assist in the multidisciplinary operation and management of prosthodontic and dental implant patient care. Computer skills and background in specific computer applications such as electronic health records IHIS and AxiUm, Microsoft Office Suite and computer competency including e-mail.
