Provisional 12-month Account Clerk

Great Neck is seeking a provisional 12-month account clerk at our Adult Learning Center

Applicants are required to have met the following qualifications:

• Graduation from high school
• One year of office clerical experience which involved working with financial accounts & records.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese/Spanish highly preferred

Job Duties:

• Handle requisitions, vendor files, bids, purchase orders, etc.
• Oversee invoices & vendor payments
• Assist with reconciling payroll, purchases & contractual services
• Maintain numerous spreadsheets, reports, databases
• Data entry and other general office tasks

IMPORTANT: This is a provisional appointment. In order to become a permanent employee, the successful candidate will need to take the Nassau County Civil Service Account Clerk exam when offered, and be reachable once the list is established. The exam is only open to individuals who have resided in Nassau County for at least one year preceding the date of the exam, and who maintain Nassau County residency until appointed from the eligible list.
