Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery
• Teach mathematics to middle school students (typically Grades 6–8) following standards such as the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) or state-specific frameworks.
• Plan and deliver engaging, grade-appropriate lessons in topics such as ratios, algebraic expressions, equations, geometry, data analysis, and probability.
• Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs, including differentiation and scaffolding.

2. Assessment and Feedback
• Design and implement formative and summative assessments to measure student understanding and growth.
• Analyze assessment data to guide instruction and provide targeted interventions.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students on their performance.

3. Classroom Management
• Create a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and effort.
• Implement effective behavior management strategies aligned with school policies.
• Foster student responsibility, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

4. Curriculum and Lesson Planning
• Develop and maintain long-term and short-term instructional plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Integrate real-world applications, technology, and hands-on activities to deepen understanding and engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and curriculum alignment.

5. Communication and Collaboration
• Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and behavior.

• Integrate educational technology (e.g., Desmos, Khan Academy, Google Classroom) to enhance learning.
