PS Core Planning Principal Engineer.Core Network Development & B2B

Job Purpose

To plan and integrate packet core nodes and services according to Etisalat vision and direction.  Ensure workflow facilitation and organization.  Supervise the performance of all subordinates.  Enhance and develop subordinates’ technical and personal skills.  Act as project manager for different assigned projects.  Submitting weekly and incident reports to higher management

Report To Position Name

Plan and implement new technologies and services related to Packet Core. Initiate RFIs, RFPs for the different new Packet Core products. Carry out the capacity planning for the PS core entities. Fine tuning for PS nodes to achieve smooth and high quality performance Integrate and accept the new Packet core nodes. Integrate new network nodes that are connected to PS Core. Provide converged solutions for packet services to cover marketing requirements. Study the available packet modules and terminals abilities to cover the packet solutions requirements. Vendor/supplier periodic performance evaluation. Provide weekly projects update to the management. Provide daily and weekly reports for the packet core performance. Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, as provided by the company or elsewhere subject to Company approval. Develop training plans with staff to ensure employees have the necessary expertise to carry out their jobs. Provide ongoing guidance to staff, often in the forms of ongoing coaching and counseling. Develop performance improvement plans if an employee's performance is not adequate. In addition, provide rewards for employee accomplishments

QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL

BS in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Excellent knowledge of the IP nodes and protocols. Excellent knowledge of the different packet core nodes. Excellent leadership and decision-making skills. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to travel inside/outside Egypt.

Excellent management skills. Excellent computer skills. Excellent negotiation skills. Excellent communication skills. Innovative and creative. Fluent in written and spoken English.

EXPERIENCE_ESSENTIAL

From 5 to 7 years experience in GSM/Telecommunications field.
