Psychiatric Nurse

Job Summary

Sukoon Health is seeking compassionate and clinically competent Staff Nurses to deliver high-quality nursing care across OPD, IPD, and Rehabilitation services at its psychiatric hospitals. The role focuses on patient assessment, medication administration, therapeutic support, clinical coordination, and adherence to safety, infection control, and mental healthcare standards, ensuring a patient-first and recovery-oriented care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient admissions and discharges
• Orient patients and families about unit routines, services, and mental health awareness
• Assess patient needs and implement nursing interventions for recovery (OPD/IPD)
• Build rapport with patients and families and help combat stigma
• Perform nursing interventions including vital signs monitoring, behavioral observations, intake–output charting, and compliance checks
• Administer medications, IV fluids, tube feeding, enemas, suctioning care, blood transfusions, and assist in CPR
• Assist doctors with diagnostic procedures, therapies, and clinical rounds
• Conduct routine investigations and promptly report abnormal findings
• Monitor patients regularly and document clinical observations accurately
• Provide health education to patients and caregivers
• Ensure proper patient handover and maintain ward inventory
• Ensure functionality of medical equipment and maintain confidentiality
• Follow aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
• Use hospital resources judiciously and coordinate with other departments
• Maintain cleanliness of patient units and care environments
• Participate in clinical teaching, in-service training, and skill development programs
• Supervise and guide new nurses and GDA staff
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the In-charge or HOD

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
