About the Role

The Heart’s Haven Center for Counseling is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our growing and dynamic team of therapists serving clients across our three locations.

With a strong and consistent stream of referrals, this position offers the opportunity to quickly build and maintain a full caseload within a supportive, collaborative, and mission-driven environment.

Position Overview

The PMHNP will provide psychiatric evaluations and medication management services in an outpatient setting, working alongside a team of skilled therapists to support integrated, whole-person care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
• Provide medication management and follow-up care
• Prescribe and monitor psychiatric medications
• Educate clients on diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication use
• provide individual counseling as needed
• Collaborate with therapists to support integrated, whole-person care
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation within the EHR system
• Uphold all ethical, legal, and clinical best practices
• Be a self started and independent worker

• Build your own schedule based on availability and preference
• Daytime, evening, and weekend options available
• Hybrid model: in-person services at our Toledo locations and telehealth
• Strong referral base to support rapid caseload growth

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio APRN license (CNP) in good standing
• Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)
• Ability to become credentialed with insurance panels
• Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings
• Experience working with diverse populations (children, adolescents, and adults)
• Familiarity with Medicaid and commercial insurance documentation
• Passion for trauma-informed, client-centered care

Compensation

65% of all paid insurance claims
(Percentage-based compensation model with strong earning potential)

Hourly compensation model available upon request.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Permanent

Pay: From $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 25 per week
