About Supportive Oncology:

  • Core program within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, fully integrated into the Rush University Cancer Center
  • Multidisciplinary services to enhance health and well-being for cancer patients and their loved ones across the entire care continuum
  • Integral part of Comprehensive Care Beyond Cancer, including Supportive Oncology, High Risk, Survivorship, and Medical Subspecialties
  • Current offerings include:
o Mental health care

o Care management services and patient navigation

Position Highlights:

  • Provide psychological evaluation and intervention for patients and families in inpatient and ambulatory care settings
  • Direct support to medical teams in inpatient and ambulatory cancer care settings

Ideal Candidate:

  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program
  • Eligible for Illinois psychology license
  • Strong clinical skills in psycho-oncology or health psychology with medical populations (e.g., cardiology, transplant, oncology preferred)
  • High potential for and interest in conducting research
  • Passion for compassionate, patient-centered care in a collaborative academic medical setting

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $115,233 - $172,012
